By using Remit, you agree to follow our rules, be honest about your metrics, pay your obligations, and resolve disputes through arbitration. We provide a platform to connect brands and creators but are not responsible for the quality of partnerships.
By accessing or using Remit's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. These terms apply to all users, including brands, creators, and visitors.
To use certain features of Remit, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
Remit provides a platform connecting brands with content creators for sponsorship opportunities. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use the platform to: violate any applicable laws; infringe on intellectual property rights; transmit harmful or malicious content; engage in fraudulent activities; or interfere with the platform's operation.
As a creator, you agree to: accurately represent your audience and engagement metrics; disclose sponsored content as required by applicable laws (including FTC guidelines); deliver content as agreed upon in deals; maintain professional communication with brands; and not engage in any form of fraud including fake followers or engagement.
As a brand, you agree to: provide accurate campaign information; make timely payments for completed work; respect creator intellectual property rights; communicate clearly about expectations and requirements; and not request content that violates laws or platform guidelines.
Remit facilitates payments between brands and creators through our escrow system. Brands deposit funds before campaigns begin, and creators receive payment upon successful completion. Remit charges a platform fee for its services. All fees are clearly disclosed before transactions. Refunds are handled according to our dispute resolution process.
Content created for campaigns remains the intellectual property of the creator unless otherwise agreed in writing. Brands receive a license to use sponsored content as specified in each deal. Remit's platform, branding, and technology are protected by intellectual property laws and remain our exclusive property.
Either party may terminate their account at any time. Remit reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, you remain responsible for any outstanding obligations. Certain provisions of these terms will survive termination.
Remit provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the fees you've paid us in the past 12 months. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any user or content on the platform.
Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Remit will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or participation in a class action. For disputes under $10,000, you may choose small claims court instead of arbitration.
